Description of this Vintage Dune Du Pyla Poster
Dating from 1935, this vintage advertising poster of La Dune Du Pyla was produced for the Paris-Orléans-Midi railways. The artist is Pierre Commarmond, very famous for his maritime landscape paintings. The painter emphasizes here the immensity of the Arcachon basin, where ultimately the Great Dune of Commarmond does not seem so large despite its height of 110 meters. It was in the 1930s that significant tourism began to appear for the largest dune in Europe. Although this vintage style poster will please everyone thanks to its decorative aspect, it will also not fail to occupy a special place for paragliders: in fact, the Dune du Pyla is almost considered a place of pilgrimage! In short, it is a decorative object which will be ideal for wall decoration in your interior .
