Description of this Tintin and Shark Lake Poster

One night, in Brussels, Belgium, two criminals sneak into the aquarium and steal a priceless pearl. As soon as the security guards on duty see the empty shell, they rush to raise the alarm. The criminals take advantage of the absence of the guards to put a false pearl, the same size as the real one, in the shell. When the guards return with the director and he sees the fake pearl, he thinks that the guards have invented the affair, but he changes his mind because a similar case occurred in another museum two weeks previously.

Meanwhile, Tintin, Snowy and Captain Haddock arrive in Syldavia, a country in the Balkans. They came to join their friend Professor Tournesol who rented a villa near a lake to build his latest invention. At the airport, they meet Dupont and Dupond, who are also going to Tournesol for a special mission.

The four men and the dog fly in a rental plane to Tournesol's house, but during the flight they have an engine problem and the pilot escapes with his only parachute. Tintin attempts to land the plane safely, but it ends up on the edge of a cliff and catches fire. They are saved thanks to the help of two local children, Niko and his sister Nushka, and their dog Gustav. The pilot contacts his superior ("Great Shark") by walkie-talkie, hidden in his binoculars, to inform him of the failure of his plan.

The children take their new friends in their wagon, but when they learn of their destination, they warn them that a curse hangs over the lake, at the bottom of which lies an old submerged town. The group finally arrives at Tournesol's villa, which demonstrates its invention: a camera capable of projecting holographic images. His ultimate goal is to create a machine that will make real copies of physical objects. Later, during dinner, Dupont and Dupond explain that they are Tournesol's bodyguards because they suspect a criminal organization specializing in the manufacture of fake art objects of wanting to steal his machine. Finally, everyone goes to bed. In the middle of the night, Snowy wakes Tintin after hearing a noise outside, but Tintin mistakes it for birdsong. In fact, the noise is made by Tournesol's housekeeper, Madame Flik, who is also in cahoots with "Great Shark".

Back at home, Tournesol demonstrates his new invention to the children: a machine capable of copying any object from a special piece of soap. Unfortunately, the effects are short-lived, as copied items quickly transform into their original substances. The criminals attack Tournesol and the detectives with laughing gas and take the children away. Tintin and Haddock pursue them but fail to save Niko and Nushka. The criminals leave behind a message on a tape recorder from their leader, "King Shark", who tells the heroes (in a voice that is beginning to sound familiar to Tintin) that they will get the children back in exchange for the invention of Tourneflower. It is Tintin himself who will make the exchange and will not have to call the police.

Tintin, Haddock, Stone and the detectives search the house for bugs, and Tintin discovers a secret passage that leads to Madame Black's walkie-talkie hidden in the empty well, catching Madame Black in the process. Tintin decides to contact the police and finds a ruse to cover his tracks. Tintin and Snowy travel to the local town and accidentally meet their old friend, opera singer Bianca Castafiore, who drops him off in her car to town and even helps him get to the police. The police chief listens to his story, but is limited in what he can do because half of the lake is under the jurisdiction of Borduria, a rival nation, and so there is risk of a diplomatic incident.

Two days pass before Tintin finally returns to Tournesol with the shark-shaped submarine that he built during the search for Rackham the Red's treasure. The plan is for Tintin to meet the criminals on the beach and for Haddock to follow him in the submarine. At the meeting point, the criminals take Tintin into a submarine and head underwater towards the flooded city where their base is located. The mastermind of this operation turns out to be Rastapopoulos, Tintin's sworn enemy, who now calls himself "Great Shark". Rastapopoulos promises to free Niko and Nushka for the device, but, unaware of Tintin's arrival, the children escape from their cell and hijack an underwater tank.

Rastapopoulos takes control of the tank with his computer, but he then notices Captain Haddock's submarine on his screen and uses the tank to launch torpedoes at Haddock, causing a fight between Tintin and the other gangsters who try to kill him. arrest Rastapopoulos. Haddock's mini-sub is hit, blocking its propulsion, and the tank is brought back to base by remote control. While waiting for the children to return, Rastapopoulos takes Tintin to his office and shows him his art collection, rejoicing that with Tournesol's machine they can make multiple copies of all the stolen masterpieces and sell them for huge sums of money.

Rastapopoulos tries Tournesol's machine by cloning a cigar box, but the imitation proves very unstable and grows to monstrous size, nearly crushing Rastapopoulos and his lieutenant. Furious, Rastapopoulos locks Tintin and the children in a room, but learns that police boats are patrolling the lake. He then decides to evacuate the base and orders his men to take all the works of art he owns in the underwater city into the cave. He then floods the room where Tintin and the children are with water. As soon as the water reaches a device located high up, the base will self-destruct.

Haddock manages to regain control of the disabled submarine and returns to the surface, meeting Dupont and Dupond as well as the Syldavian police chief in a patrol boat. Below, all his men having evacuated the base, Rastapopoulos and his lieutenant leave the base aboard the submarine. Tintin and the children manage to free themselves and escape through an airlock in life jackets, just before the base explodes. They then return to the surface and join their friends and the police. The police captured all of Rastapopoulos' men, but the mastermind himself has already crossed the border aboard his submarine. Not being Syldavian officials and therefore not bound by international conventions, Tintin and Haddock insist on pursuing Rastapopoulos by motorboat.

To pass the border crossings, Rastapopoulos attempts to navigate the submarine through an underwater tunnel, but forgets to lower the submarine's periscope, which hits a low rock and breaks, causing it to crash and collapse. flooding of the submarine. The criminals return to the surface, but they are captured by Tintin and Haddock as soon as they try to leave the wrecked ship. Finally, the Thompsons, Tournesol, Niko, Nushka and Gustav welcome Tintin, Snowy and Haddock upon returning from their mission in the submarine. Finally, Rastapopoulos and his sailors were taken to Klow Prison by Syldavian police officials. Tintin, Snowy and Haddock return to Tournesol's villa and are greeted by a large party of villagers who want to celebrate the end of the terror imposed by the gang, and by Bianca Castafiore, who scares Haddock away from the party. Haddock tries to take a quiet moment to drink whiskey, but his bottle is destroyed by the Thompson twins who are playing golf. The captain is upset at first, but he laughs about it with everyone else.
