Description of this Incredible Hulk Poster

David Banner, MD, is a physician and scientist employed at the Culver Institute in California, traumatized by the car accident that killed his beloved wife, Laura. Haunted by his inability to save her, Banner and his research colleague, Dr. Elaina Marks, study individuals capable of developing superhuman strength in moments of extreme stress. Obsessed with discovering why he could not manifest such force under similar conditions, Banner hypothesizes that high levels of gamma radiation from sunspots contributed to the increased force in the subjects. Eager to test his theory, Banner conducts an unsupervised experiment in the laboratory, bombarding himself with gamma radiation. However, the x-ray equipment has recently been recalibrated, and Banner unwittingly receives a massive overdose. Initially, he thinks the experiment has failed, but, injuring himself while changing a flat tire, Banner's anger triggers his transformation into a 7-foot-tall, 350-pound, green-skinned, animated superhuman creature. by rage and endowed with a primitive intelligence. The creature reverts to Banner when he calms down, but, unable to remember what is happening in his transformed state, he asks Marks for help. Together, they slowly piece together the events and explore the nature of the metamorphosis, as well as the possibility of a cure. Their investigation is hampered by scandal reporter Jack McGee, initially seeking revelations about Banner and Marks' research, but now suspects a connection to reports of a green-skinned monster in the area. While searching their laboratory, McGee unintentionally starts a fire. Banner rushes back to save Marks, but the creature emerges from the fire with her in his arms, dying. Wrongly believing that Banner died in the fire with Marks and that the creature is responsible for their deaths, McGee publishes a story naming the "Incredible Hulk" as their murderer and urges law enforcement to capture him. Believing Banner dead, he decides to travel from place to place, adopting different identities and odd jobs to support himself while searching for a cure. He also feels obligated to help those he encounters in difficulty, inevitably exposing his situation to danger and triggering the transformations into the Hulk. These incidents attract the attention of McGee, who obsessively pursues the mysterious creature across the country to prevent violence and confirm the legitimacy of his story. Despite the devastation, the Hulk usually does good for the people Banner encounters in his travels. Each episode invariably ends with Banner back on the road, fearful that the Hulk's appearances will attract unwanted attention from the authorities and the ever-perseverant McGee.
