Description of this Sierra Torrid Poster
Sierra Torride is an American western by Don Siegel starring Shirley MacLaine and Clint Eastwood.
Mexico, 1865: Hogan, a taciturn American mercenary, walks alone in the desert on his horse. He saves the nun Sara from three men who wanted to rape her. A friendship develops between Hogan and Sara. Hogan finds Sara attractive, but he respects her vocation as a nun and refrains from making advances towards her. However, he is surprised that Sara uses bad words and drinks whiskey. Both are interested in the destruction of the French garrison in Chihuahua. But while Sara has Mexican freedom in mind, Hogan is interested in the French gold treasure. Hogan agreed, for a fee, to develop a plan to conquer the garrison for Colonel Beltran, the Juarist commander. When the two men arrive in the garrison town, Hogan learns that Sara is a prostitute. As Sara is wanted by the French for her Juarist sympathies, Hogan delivers her to the commander by pretending, which allows them both to enter the garrison. The Mexicans attack the garrison from different directions. Hogan can open an underground tunnel for the Mexicans and support the rebels from within. The fort was finally taken. Hogan grabs the gold treasure and has sex with Sara in the bathtub. In the final scene, they both leave on horseback, Sara wearing a striking red dress and riding a small donkey, which foreshadows the start of a relationship that will not be without its problems.
