Description of this Rocky 3 Movie Poster

Rocky III - The Eye of the Tiger is a 1982 American boxer from director and actor Sylvester Stallone and the third part of the Rocky film series. The film is a co-production of United Artists and Chartoff-Winkler Productions under distribution from the MGM/UA Entertainment Company.

At the end of the previous film, Rocky defeated Apollo Creed in the title fight. His dream of becoming world heavyweight champion came true. Now he can afford everything he ever dreamed of and give his wife what she always wanted, for example. B. a big house and a luxurious lifestyle. Supervised by his former mentor and trainer Mickey, Rocky went on to successfully defend his title ten times. He is also a sought-after man in the media; he is engaged in a fight against the wrestling champion Thunderlips for a charitable cause.

At the same time, newcomer Clubber Lang is slowly but inexorably boxing in the place of number one challenger. The contradictions between the two boxers are remarkably emphasized: Long is poor and hungry for success, while Rocky is rich and basks in success. When Lang challenges and insults Rocky during the unveiling of his memorial statue in front of the Philadelphia Art Museum, Rocky pushes for the fight, but his trainer Mickey intervenes and explains that Lang doesn't stand a chance. Mickey thinks Rocky was too tired of success to survive the "killer" Lang. Rocky persuades Mickey to organize the fight and train him again.

But the training turns into a farce because Rocky has lost his fighting spirit in a comfortable life. To deteriorate further in the series, a malformed Rocky must quickly realize that Mickey, who is dying, was right. Badly hit by Lang's hard punches and with thoughts of his trainer dying, Rocky loses by knockout. in round 2. His trainer Mickey dies of heart failure shortly after the fight.

Demoralized, Rocky can be persuaded by his old adversary Apollo Creed to retaliate against Lang. He and his old trainer Duke train Rocky as a newcomer to Los Angeles so that Rocky regains "the eye of the tiger". Rocky builds a new self-confidence based on a process of self-discovery supported by his wife Adrian. New training methods (dancing, flexibility, skillful dodging and counterbalancing), which were previously completely alien to Rocky, also have an effect.

When Rocky returns to form, he challenges Clubber Lang to a fight to regain the lost title and then say goodbye to boxing. A difficult fight begins that spreads all over the world. This time, due to Rocky's new strategy, Clubber's punches often go nowhere until he flies away and becomes inattentive. Finally Rocky wins thanks to K. o. Beat and be at peace with yourself.

The film ends with a private rematch of Rocky and Apollo, who have become friends and the presumed outcome of which is only revealed in the Creed spinoff.
