Description of this Benzai Film Poster

Banzaï is a 1983 French comedy film directed by Claude Zidi. The protagonist, Michel (Colusch), works for a large insurance company, but after misbehavior, his bosses threaten to fire him. Michel is then forced to do a very thankless job: bringing back to France people who have suffered abroad, while Michel is about to marry an air hostess, Isabelle. The film often refers to Michel's lack of humor, which leads him into very dangerous situations, but his incredible optimism allows him to get out of them: in New York, he receives help from a group of black gangsters and leaves Africa, a country in civil war, safe and sound, after freeing an imprisoned rebel leader. The final events of the film take place in Hong Kong: local mafiosi try to use the man Michel came to pick up as a vehicle to transport drugs, but everything ends with a happy ending. The film takes an ironic look at the activities of large insurance companies. In the Sahara desert, the hero Koljush receives a call from a customer who hit a camel with his car and informs him that he urgently needs a car mechanic. The insurance agent suggested he contact a car mechanic named Ahmed Baroudi, who reportedly lived in a nearby town. Another customer (an Arab who was on the camel) asks the insurance agent how he can find a veterinarian for his camel. The answer is to ask the same Ahmed Baroudi. There is a very interesting case where, when asking about a car with a broken engine belt, the insurance agent recommends installing a pants belt. The important thing is that the replacement turned out to be successful and the hero managed to get to the car service. "Banzai" is the cry the Japanese pilot uttered when a drug accidentally entered the plane's ventilation system. The pilot then set out to "attack Pearl Harbor", which he successfully did by bombarding the streets of Hong Kong with passengers' luggage and then landing the airliner on an aircraft carrier.
