Description of this Poster And For A Few Dollars More

And for a Few Dollars More (Italian: Per qualche dollaro in più) is a 1965 spaghetti western film directed by Sergio Leone. It stars Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef as bounty hunters and Gian Maria Volonté as the main villain. German actor Klaus Kinski plays a supporting role, that of the secondary villain. The film was an international co-production between Italy, West Germany and Spain. The film was released in the United States in 1967, and is the second part of what is commonly known as the Dollars trilogy.

The man many call Manco is a bounty hunter, a profession shared by a former army officer, Colonel Douglas Mortimer. The two men eventually learn that a ruthless bank robber, "El Indio", has escaped from prison with his gang, massacring all but one of his jailers. While murdering the family of the man who captured him, Indio wears a musical pocket watch that he took from a young woman, who killed herself while he raped her, after murdering her husband. The incident has haunted Indio, and he smokes an addictive drug to blur his memory.

Indio plans to rob the El Paso bank, which has a disguised safe containing "nearly a million dollars." Manco arrives in the city and becomes aware of the presence of Mortimer, who arrived earlier. He sees Mortimer deliberately insulting the hunchback Wild, who is reconnoitering the bank. Manco confronts Mortimer after the two study each other, and they decide to work together as neither intends to back down. Mortimer persuades Manco to join Indio's gang and "put him in the crossfire." Manco achieves this by freeing Indio's friend from prison despite Indio's suspicions.

Indio sends Manco and three others to rob the bank in the nearby town of Santa Cruz. Manco shoots the three bandits and sends a false telegraph alarm to wake the El Paso sheriff and his posse, who are heading to Santa Cruz. The gang blows up the wall at the back of the El Paso bank and steals the safe, but is unable to open it. Groggy is angry when Manco is the only one to return from Santa Cruz, but Indio accepts Manco's version of events thanks to Mortimer giving him a convincing wound. The gang rides to the small border town of Agua Caliente where Mortimer, who has anticipated their destination, is waiting for them. Wild recognizes Mortimer, forcing a confrontation that results in the hunchback's death before Mortimer offers his services to Indio to open the chest without using explosives. Indio locks the money in a safe and says the loot will be shared after a month.

Manco and Mortimer break into the safe and hide the money, but they are caught immediately afterwards and beaten. Mortimer has secured the safe's lock, however, and Indio believes the money is still there. Later that night, Indio asks his lieutenant, Niño, to kill the guard assigned to watch Manco and Mortimer with a knife belonging to Cuchillo. Once Niño frees the prisoners, Indio reveals that he knew they were bounty hunters and executes Cuchillo to make it appear that he betrayed the gang, while sending his men after Manco and Mortimer in the hope that they will all kill each other so that he can split the money between Niño and himself. But Groggy realizes the scheme and forces Indio to open the safe after killing Niño, but the two men find it empty. Finally, after he and Manco kill the bandits, Mortimer calls Indio revealing his full name. Mortimer shoots Groggy, who runs for cover, but is disarmed by Indio, who plays the pocket watch while daring the bounty hunter to take back his gun and kill him as the music ends. But when the music stops, the same melody begins from an identical pocket watch that Manco stole from Mortimer. Manco gives Mortimer his belt and pistol, saying, "Now we begin." When the music stops, Mortimer shoots first, killing Indio.

Mortimer retrieves the watch from Indio and Manco notices Mortimer's resemblance to the woman in the photos. Mortimer reveals that he is his brother and, his revenge accomplished, he declines his share of the bounty and leaves. Manco throws the bodies of Indio and his men into a cart, eventually adding Groggy's body after killing him, and goes to collect the bounties on them all, stopping briefly to collect the stolen money in his hiding place.
