Description of this Peter Pan Movie Poster

Peter Pan is the 14th animated feature film by Walt Disney Studios and was released in 1953. It is a reference to the Peter Pan stories by James M. Barrie.

The sequel, Peter Pan: Neverland Return, was released in 2002. Currently, Disney is producing a live-action adaptation of Peter Pan under the title Peter Pan & Wendy.

In search of his cufflinks, George Darling, an irascible family man, finds himself in all kinds of predicaments, the common cause of which he eventually finds in the Peter Pan stories that Wendy, the eldest daughter, has told to his two brothers. Exasperated, Father Darling announces Wendy's last night in the children's room and forbids them from Peter Pan. The same evening, while the parents are going out to dinner, Peter Pan surprises the Darling children in the middle of the night, looking for his shadow. To stop Wendy from growing up, he invites all three of them to come with him to Neverland. Thanks to the fairy dust of Tinkerbell (Tinkerbell), who is not happy that Peter only has eyes for her, Wendy, Klaus (John) and Michael fly to Neverland by crossing London at night. Once there, they are greeted by the sound of cannons from Captain Hook's pirate ship. While the Darling children are on the run, the jealous Tinkerbell alerts the "enchanted children" and orders them, in Peter's name, to kill Wendy, which Peter Pan manages to prevent at the last moment. He banishes the star fairy.

While Wendy and Peter Pan travel to the Seamaidens' Lagoon, the lost children, Klaus and Michael are kidnapped by Indians who want to avenge the theft of the Indian princess Tigerlily. She was kidnapped by none other than Hook, who wants to know Peter Pan's hiding place and threatens to let her drown in Skull Rock at high tide. Here too, Peter Pan is able to intervene to save the situation, which leads to him being named an honorary Indian at an Indian party and dancing with Tigerlily. Wendy then becomes very jealous and wants to go home with her brothers.

Meanwhile, Captain Hook has learned of Pan's hiding place from the Star Fairy, whom he is holding prisoner. He kidnaps the children and places a time bomb in the well of Peter Pan's hideout. The latter survives the explosion thanks to the warning given in time by the fairy who escaped and wins a final battle against Captain Hook and the pirates. Wendy and her brothers return home.

Wendy is sleeping by the open window when her parents come home. Together they look out the window, where Peter Pan and his flying boat can still be seen. Father Darling recognizes that he acted too soon and lets Wendy remain a child.
