Description of this Old Corsican Poster
Created by Jean Jacquelin in 1960 for the SNCF, this vintage advertising poster highlights the town of Corte and the Isle of Beauty. The artist is a disciple of Alexis Kow, particularly famous for his cinema and automobile posters. The poster artist shows us here a tourist advertising visual that is not without interest: we can see a man crossing a bridge on a donkey just below the village of Corte, particularly known for being on a rocky peak. As we can see, the author was mostly content to play with colors instead of creating a realistic representation of the place. Thus, this vintage Corsican poster is full of charm and will give a retro style to the wall decoration of your interior !
