“Neither seen nor known” is a French comedy released in 1958, directed by Yves Robert and starring the iconic Louis de Funès. The film tells the story of Badger, a cunning poacher who challenges the authority of the country guard Parju. The latter, obsessed with the idea of capturing the poacher, never manages to catch him. One day, Badger meets the new village teacher, an inexperienced young man whom he decides to make his apprentice in poaching. But when Parju discovers their collaboration, he will do everything to make them stop. Between frantic chases and comic situations, “Neither seen nor known” is an emblematic film of the golden age of French cinema, carried by the talent of its actors and its rhythmic direction.
