Description of this Gap Poster
Created in 1932 by Gaston Gorde, this vintage advertising poster highlights the town of Gap , and is intended for the PLM company. The advertising visual is original: the majority of the image is made up of a black part filled with lines. In reality, they are rain and clouds, representing bad weather. However, it is the third part that is interesting: pretending to be sheltered by "GAP", we see an oasis resisting the apparent grayness. The sun shines brightly, while the mountains and nature are sublime. To highlight the message, it says “Sun all year round”. Telling a story, this vintage GAP poster will make an excellent decorative object for your wall decoration by giving it a retro style .
