Description of this Dangerously Yours Poster
Dangerously Yours is a 1985 spy film, the fourteenth in the James Bond series produced by Eon Productions, and the seventh and final appearance of Roger Moore in the fictional role of MI6 agent James Bond. Although the title is adapted from Ian Fleming's 1960 short story "Dangerously Yours", the film has an entirely original storyline. In Dangerously Yours, Bond is pitted against Max Zorin (played by Christopher Walken), who plans to destroy Silicon Valley in California.
The film was produced by Albert R. Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, who also wrote the screenplay with Richard Maibaum. It is the third James Bond film directed by John Glen, and the last to feature Lois Maxwell in the role of Miss Moneypenny.
Although it received mixed reviews from critics, who often took exception to the effects of Moore's advanced age on his portrayal, the film was a commercial success. Duran Duran's theme song, "Dangerously Yours", performed well on the charts, becoming the only Bond theme song to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100, earning him a Golden Globe nomination of the best song.
