Description of this Banania Advertising Poster
Signed Giacomo De Andréis in 1915, this sublime decorative vintage poster is an advertising visual for the Banania breakfast. The story goes that a Senegalese rifleman, injured during the Great War, had to provide labor in the pharmacy of the associate of the creator of Banania: Pierre-François Lardet. Faced with the courage and positivism of the rifleman, Lardet was inspired to use him as an image for his future product. We know what happened next: an immense success, followed by an erroneous accusation of "racism" coming from agitators who didn't even have any historical knowledge. This sublime poster will make an excellent decorative object for your interior with its retro style . If you are looking for other Banania advertisements, please see this vintage Banania poster .
