Created by designer Duane Bryers, Hilda was a UFO figure in the world of pin-ups. His particuliarity ? Be round ! It was a risky bet, but totally won: it had enormous success from the 50s to the 80s, thanks to the calendars.

Unfortunately, over time, its popularity will eventually decline. However, in 2013, a year after Duane Bryers' death, Hilda was once again brought into public view through a set of photos posted online .

We thus discover a young red-haired woman, most of the time almost naked (only her penis and her nipples are constantly hidden), exuding the joy of life and completely embracing her round shapes in the open air.

Duane Bryers decided in the mid-1950s to create a pin-up that was the opposite of the "clichés" of the glamorous woman who dominated in those years (Marylin Monroe in particular). Its goal was to play on humor, seduction, and unusual situations. Wanting to make calendars, he contacted Brown & Bigelow, a distributor very popular in the sale of advertising calendars.

Like her illustrator, Hilda is characterized by her joy, her naturalness, her humor, and the fact of being good in her body and in her mind. Hilda was drawn by Duane Bryers until the late 1970s.
